Chris Martin Project
Joyce Robins recommended me to the director of Malca Fine Arts in NYC for inclusion in a project about
the painter Chris Martin. This was in 2000. The idea was to go out to Brooklyn and do a photographic portrait of Chris Martin for an exhibition that was to run parallel to an exhibition of his painting at Malca Fine Arts in Soho. This exhibition called, In the Lake, took place in 2001. I mounted these photgraphs on board and slid them into a transparant plexiglass letter type holder, mounted on the wall (which was constructed for this exhibition). The photographs were then to be lifted out of the box and looked at like large trading cards by the viewer. Chris Martin mentions this meeting on his individual page on this website.
